Camp NaNoWriMo is just right around the corner and if you saw my March Monthly Plan With Me you would have read that it is one of my goals for this month to prep for it and what it holds. Even though for the past couple of months I’ve included creative writing tasks in my monthly bullet journal plan, I have not found myself completing them. Also, for the ones who don’t know what Camp NaNoWriMo is I recommend you check out the post I mentioned of me talking all about it or check out the official NaNoWriMo website. As I said, I haven’t done much regarding my book series and I think that Camp NaNoWriMo is the perfect opportunity to change that and for that reason, I decided to create Camp NaNo Planning and Tracking Pages in my writing journal you may have already seen in my 2020 planner and journal line up.

Camp NaNoWriMo Goals

nano goals and todos

I truly enjoy setting goals for everything on a yearly, quarterly, monthly and weekly basis. Camp NaNo isn’t the exception. The first page I set up for camp was my goals for the whole event and I wanted to make sure to stay within five goals so I wouldn’t allow myself to lose focus over them and end up doing a little bit of everything and nothing.

The main goal is to work at least thirty minutes every day on my creative project and the other goals that I set up were the bigger tasks that I’m planning on doing throughout the month.

Besides the goals page is my to-do list. I know that I already have a monthly to-do list in my bullet journal but this specific to-do list is regarding everything camp whereas my monthly to-do list in my bullet journal includes everything that I need to do in every other aspect of my life.

Work Log and Time Tracker

nano calendar

You guys already know how much I love tables and trackers so I decided to create a two-page calendar to track the sort of work I will be doing each day for April alongside time tracking so that I also can make sure that I’m putting the time I’m wishing to put in this project throughout the month. I’m hoping that the time tracking will do the same for me for writing as it did for reading. If you read my How I Established a Reading Habit you know that on of the things that I started doing was putting a 30-minute timer to make sure that at least I read thirty minutes every day and eventually I just kept on reading beyond the thirty minutes as time passed on.

For the ones interested, I used a Pentel R.S.V.P. fine blue ballpoint pen to do most of the writing, Crayola super-tips for the title calligraphy and Pilot FriXion erasable highlighters were used in the color-coded key so that at the end of the month I can get a glance on how I did. Also, the journal that I’m using is no longer available as it was part of Disney’s Oh My Disney collection and it came out a long time ago in a set of three journals. I don’t know if they have another version of the journals available right now for the collection but still, it is worth checking out.

Sprints Tracker

nano sprints and notes

Last but not least is my sprints tracker. Though I’m not focusing on words for this month perse I often like to watch live writing on you-tube because I find sprints help in getting more done when you feel kind of all over the place and unmotivated. In every sprint entry, I put the date, sprint number (in case I don more than one), minutes, words(optional), other(world-building, character profiles or even notes) and the total amount of time and words for that day.

Next to the sprints tracker is my notes page because during NaNo I made a lot of use of it and I believe I will use it as much in camp.

So that’s it for my Camp NaNo Planning and Tracking Pages. I hope you found this blog post helpful of interesting.
