February is here and I wanted to make sure to review and start getting my life together on a monthly basis! I feel like January went on so slow but at the same time, I can’t believe we are already in the second month of the year. This February is extra special not only for being the first February of the decade but for also having an extra day which is convenient when you have a lot of things planned for the month. I have quite a few things planned for this month as I will be focusing it on self-love and care and want to establish a bunch of great habits for my emotional and physical health. I changed and added a lot of stuff since my January Life Plan With Me because I soon realized that I needed to plan more stuff than I had previously foreseen. I will go into my goals for the month, extra to do’s as well as creative project planning and goal setting.
Monthly Review
The first thing I did like I have always done is review my month in my bullet journal. If you would like to see in detail how I review each month in my bullet journal make sure to let me know in the comments section. I do a review to check on the goals I had and to migrate any to do’s that I wasn’t able to do during the previous month.
I also use my review to look at the quarterly goals spread I did in my 2020 bullet journal set up so that I can keep myself on track to fulfill both my quarterly and yearly goals.
Bullet Journal Plan
The next thing I do is plan my bullet journal layouts and setup for the upcoming month. This is something I started doing a few months ago and it has helped me to continue bullet journaling and stay on track with my goals.
You can see my February 2020 Bullet Journal Plan With Me if your are interested in seeing the whole setup.
Goals
I always try to set at most 5 main goals each month because I find that it is a number of goals I’m comfortable within achieving and that for the most part I always manage to fulfill them. I will go on further into the ones that have a long process
Journal and be Grateful every single day
Read 4-5 books
I have a goal of reading at least 52 books in 2020 and to achieve it, I need to read 13 books per quarter and 4-5 books per month. Reading is something that has and is of great importance for me since I developed my reading habit and if you want to establish that habit yourself, make sure to stay tuned because it will be one of my upcoming blog posts this month.
In January I wasn’t able to read as much as I wanted to because it is always the kind of month in which I’m trying new stuff and adjusting my day to day with them. I am confident that February though being a shorter month it will have a smoother development that January. For this month, I’m planning to read the last 2 books of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series by Rick Riordan and read 2-5 books of the Chronicles of Narnia series by C. S. Lewis and the reason why I’m reaching more so towards 5 is because the books are pretty short going around the 2-300 page mark which is pretty fast to get by even if I don’t read every day as I can finish the book in one sitting. I will also read a few books that have been given me at school but I don’t count those unless I had them on my list or I am interested in them.
Health Care
This whole month is focused on self-love and self-care for me and I found only fitting to putting it as one of my main goals. To achieve this goal I made a whole self-love and care workbook that you can get by subscribing to my weekly newsletter.
Maintain BY
This goal is really important for me because BY is one of the greatest creative outlets I could ever have and I truly enjoy working on maintaining and improving it every single day.
To keep up with BY I have a whole discbound planner using The Happy Planner punch and expander discs that you may have seen in my 2020 Planner and Journal Line Up. I created very few pages for it in January and most of them thought they were pretty they didn’t get me much done and I had to write on blank pages constantly and though I like to be a free spirit when it comes to my planning hence my bullet journal, I also like to have structure hence also my bullet journal and the sort of life planning I’m doing in this post.
Study Korean
I wasn’t very good at keeping up with this goal in January, to be honest. But for February I’m getting my hands on deck and took out all my Korean learning journals to put to use. To study Korean I’m planning to finish one level of the Talk To Me In Korean Lessons and keep up with entertainment like K-dramas and K-pop. If you want to know how I study Korean and the free resources that I use to make sure to let me know so that I can prioritize it in my content calendar.
Extra To Do’s and Goals
Those were my main goals for the month. Now, I will be jotting down extra to do’s and goals for the month.
Creative Projects
Aside from BY, I always like to have a bunch of creative projects on the works so that I always something to keep myself busy with.
Book Brainstorming
I’m pretty sure I mentioned it in my last life plan or maybe in my 2020 planner line up but I am working on a book series as well as other stories but for the time being, the series is my priority and as a series and the planner girl that I am I need to have everything outlined before starting to draft the books.
Worldbuilding= as I am working on a fantasy series, worldbuilding is super important and I should probably work quite a bit on it this month if I’m planning on finishing the first book by 2020.
Book 1 Plot Review= I already have the whole plot of book one along with the characters but since I’m doing quite a bit of worldbuilding in the story, I will need to change and review some things from the plot of the book 1.
Series Outline= Last but certainly not least is my series outline. I already know how my series is going to end and the main plot for the books but I need to jot it down on paper so I have a clearer view of where I’m headed.
Creative Journaling
I found the art of creative journaling in December and it was love at first craft/draw? After this post, I will be uploading a whole blog post on creative journaling prompts for self-love and care. If you can’t wait, you can get them right now in my workbook.
