Happy August everyone! Is Back To School season though in my case is more like a back to classes season since I will be taking classes online. I want to make sure that I still prep for my personal projects so that I can keep up with my goals for the rest of the year and find a way to manage them all effectively. This is my August 2020 Life Monthly Planning.
Bullet Journal Setup
The first thing I did was set up my August Bullet Journal. I went with a Monsters, Inc./ University theme to give the back to school vibe and added the holidays and birthdays to my monthly log so that I don’t lose track of important dates.
Goals for the Month
As you may know, each month, I set up to 5 goals to focus on throughout the month. This month is no different. These are my top 5 goals for the month:
- Journal & Be Grateful = This goal is in every month as it is something of great importance to me. Journaling helps me with my mental health and being grateful every day allows me to have a positive outlook every day and appreciate the world and the people around me.
- Read 7 Books = Reading is something that truly makes me happy and I want to make sure that I take time every day to read. I made a blog post a while ago on how I created my reading habit if you are interested in checking it out.
Usually, I plan the books I will be reading throughout the month but for this month, I will go with the flow and just read whatever I pick up. - Physical and Mental Health Care = Aside from reading, journaling, and being grateful, I want to make sure that I take extra care of my mental and physical health throughout this month implementing habits such as doing yoga and meditating.
- Work on 3 Crafting Projects = I recently made a blog post on how I plan my crafting projects in my bullet journal. There are 3 specific ones I want to focus on this month which are my 2021 bullet journal notebook, handmade paper, and desk drawers.
I will still have other projects but these are the biggest ones I have planned for this month. - BY Maintenance & Improvements = This website is really important for me as a creative outlet that allows me to express myself creatively and learn new things as I go. For that reason, I want to find ways to improve it little by little whether it is in the design or new additions to the page.
BY Prepping and Planning
Now that I have set up my personal goals for the month, I need to prep and plan my content for the month.
Print Planner
The first thing I do is print the monthly templates I designed for my B5 Happy Planner. I have not shared these designs with you because I’m still working on making them perfect before sharing them with you guys.
Notion Content Calendar
After printing the planner template, I went onto working in my content calendar which I have placed in the Notion App. I do all of my digital planning in that app and honestly couldn’t love it more. The level of customization and structural organization is out of this world and I couldn’t recommend it more.
Prep for Printables
Lastly, I sketch out the printables that I’m planning to release to the FREE Printables Library for my email subscribers. I add printables according to the content I create so make sure to stay tuned for that.
I hope you found this blog post helpful and if you’d like to keep up to date with the latest content, make sure you subscribe to my weekly newsletter and check out my social media.
Question of the Day: What are you most excited to do this month?
Be Yourself, Be Happy, Be Human.
Lots of Love, Patrick.
