Hi Guys! Back on the schedule is my May 2020 Life Monthly Planning. I will go through all the things that I set up to prep and plan for a new month. I will be setting up my top 5 goals for the month as well as any important creative projects I want to work on. To maintain focus throughout the month, I always set up a maximum of 5 main goals for the month just to make sure that I don’t get overwhelmed a loose track of my priorities. I will jot down these goals, projects and to do’s in my monthly spread in my May 2020 Bullet Journal whose theme is Star Wars as May the Fourth is right around the corner.

Top 5 Goals for the Month

  • Study Korean
  • BY Maintenance and Improvements
  • Journal and Be Grateful
  • Creative Projects
  • Read 5-7 Books

Journal and Be Grateful

As always, I put this as one of my priorities for each month because it is just something that I find really good for me and my mindset.

Study Korean

I decided to spice things up a bit this month for my Korean Learning. These past few months I’ve been solely focusing on studying grammar lessons but I really want to go back to watching K-Dramas and listening to K-Pop because it is something that I have always loved doing but have kind of left behind and watching dramas sporadically when it’s something that is actually really useful and good for learning a new language (and it’s fun). (Future me note: Already watched two dramas two days into the month.)

I will be taking grammar lessons 4 times a week and leave the rest of the days for resting or reviewing the level I’m taking right now.

Read 5-7 Books

This month I really wanted to spice things up a bit with the books Imma be reading because I’ve pretty much only read series this year and one or two stand-alone books.

Reading List

BY Maintenance and Improvements

As you may know, I was off BY for most of April and I believe a little bit of March. But now I’m back and ready to go.

I have a bunch of things planned content-wise for the upcoming months and I need to work on those things accordingly and honestly, I’m super excited for all the things that I have planned coming up.

If you saw my 2020 Planner and Journal Lineup or any of my previous life monthly plannings, you may have seen that I’ve been using the happy planner system with the big punch and a pack of expander discs. The thing is, that as much as I love the planner, the one that I’ve been using is A4 sized and I have been finding it kind of bulky to be carrying with me every time that I am working on my desk with the computer and making notes and stuff.

That’s why I decide to use the paper of an old school notebook that I had and created some planning templates to use in a transparent A5 binder I had lying around. So far, I’ve been loving it though eventually I know I will be going back fully to the happy planner system.

Right now, I’m using it to plan big projects and doing my main planning in the new A5 planner.

As far as new things for BY go, I’m currently working on creating a resource library for my newsletter subscribers so that I can add all the printable freebies I’m working on can be accessed by my subscribers without the need to receive them all at one in their welcome email or the weekly newsletter so stay tuned for that coming up.

Creative Projects

In my may bullet journal setup, I added a creative project section so that I can jot down all the things that I want to work on, aside from my main goals. I will mention a few of the things I’m working on just for reference.

  • DIY Desk Cabinet
  • Quarantine Art Journal
  • Room Decor DIYs
  • Etc.

So that’s pretty much it for my May goals and life monthly planning. I hope you found this blog post helpful.
