My October 2020 Bullet Journal Setup is finally here! This month’s theme is quite different from the ones that I have done previously as they all were quite colorful. This only has pops of colors here and there but not as much as the previous months. I decided to got with a Wizarding World of Harry Potter Bullet Journal theme because I thought it would be fun to spice things up and to see what elements I could bring in from the franchise.
You can check out all the supplies I used for this setup in my Bullet Journal Essentials post or go directly to the Bullet Journal Essentials Kit I made at kit.co.
Log, Goals & To-Do
This page remains the same as always because it works the best for me. I used the Wizarding World of Harry Potter font for the header and colored it in with various tones of gray to create an ombre effect.
The monthly log is used for holidays, birthdays and appointments. In my life monthly plannings I determine my top 5 goals for the month and I decided to put little flying key as bullets for each goal.
The To-Do List has a key without wings and I doodle Newt’s case beside the quote.
College Calendar
If you’ve been here for a while, you know I like using a color coded key to mark different assignments and tests in my school calendar just so that I don’t have to write the name of the class with the assignment and can see at a glance for what class the assignment is for.
I did a very simple potions shelf design and went in with a dark blue shelf to spice things up and left the rest of the calendar pretty simple becuase it’s going to be filled with notes and colors by the end of the month.
Trackers & Logs
I went with a Marauder’s Map inspired habit tracker. I doodled the little footsteps and quidditch hoops at the footer and left it as it was because this spread will also be filled with color by the end of the month.
The first block of habits is focused on personal habits; the second one is focused on educational habits and the last one is a work log.
In the work log, I put a circle and a check mark for every task done.
On the sidebar, I have my simple gratitude log.
Weekly Goals Spreads
For the past few months I have not been using weekly spreads. Since I still want to have some sort of plan and structure for my week, I decided to create my weekly goals spread and it has truly helped me maintain focus throughout the week and get things done.
I used the same Wizarding World font for the word ‘weekly’ on the header and colored it in with the colors for each Hogward House.
I picked 3 qualities from each house, added them as dividors for each week, and colored them in with that respective house’s colors.
Then, I made a dashed line to separate personal goals and tasks from college related tasks.
On the last page of the weekly spread, I added a quote by Albus Dumbledore to fill the blank space and used galaxy colored pencils very lightly to add another pop of color to the page that wasn’t overwhelming.
That’s it for this October 2020 Bullet Journal Setup. I hope you have had a great September. Make sure to comment down below your Hogwart house and patronus just for fun. Mine is Ravenclaw and my patronus is a dolphin.
