2022 is here and is ready to start rolling. As always, there’s no better way to welcome a brand new year than with a brand new bullet journal setup. I know I haven’t posted in a while but 2022 is going to be different and full of content coming your way. To start off, we have the 2022 Bullet Journal Setup.

Aside from the journal that I made, you can check all the supplies I used for this setup in my bullet journal essentials blog post or check out the products directly on my bullet journal kit at kit.co.

Word of the Year & Year at a Glance

2022 Word of the Year & Year at a Glance

To start off this brand new bullet journal, I made a year at a glance spread just because it is quite useful when setting the monthly spreads and the rest of the spreads in this setup and allows me to only focus on the bullet journal while setting it up instead of having to reach for the calendar app on my phone.

On the left side of the spread, I put my 2 words for the year which are create and grow in a block style font colored in with the colors used throughout this setup.

Future Log

I quite enjoyed having a future log divided into 3 sections last year so I made the same spread. The three sections are for personal, creative, and school-related due dates. I made sure that the colors I added for each header stayed the same on all the spreads to add some sort of cohesiveness to the yearly spreads.

Monthly Overview Spreads

The monthly overview spreads are for me to reach for at the end of each month to jot down the highlights and as the title implies, an overview reflection of the months as the year passes.

I made it into 2 spreads because last year I felt that I could have put much more information than I wanted if I made it into 2 spreads and given each month more writing space.

Goals

2022 goals spread

I don’t know why but I think the goals spread is my favorite of them all in this setup. I will be dividing this year’s goals into seven categories: environmental, occupational, intellectual, financial, emotional, physical, and spiritual.

I divided each section with dashed lines and put a quote on the title side that says: “If you want to be happy, set a goal that commands your thoughts, liberates your energy, and inspires your hopes.” By Andrew Carnegie.

Upcoming Movies & Books Read

2022 Upcoming Movies & Books Read

I love both movies and books so it is no surprise that this spread is my second favorite.

On the left page, we have the page divided into 12 so that I could write down the movies that will be coming up within the next year and it’ll just be really useful to have this spread since there are a lot of great movies coming up.

On the right page, I made the traditional bookshelf page to doodle the books that I’ll be reading throughout the year, I’m hoping that they fit since I’m planning on reading at least 52 books this year.

Goals Monthly Breakdown

Lastly, we have the monthly breakdown overview and this one is more focused on goals. So the main goals that I set up in the goals spread, I will be breaking down into smaller tasks for me to accomplish each month.

And that’s it for this brand new blog post for this brand New Year.

I hope you liked it and found it helpful. QOTD: What are your top 5 goals for 2022?
